SSH from virtual machine to remote server through host's VPN: connect to host port 22: Network is unreachable

I have found plenty of answers how to SSH to virtual machine running on remote server, however I did not find any solution to my problem when I am trying to SSH FROM VirtualBox virtual machine running on my local.

My local:

  • Host: Windows 7

  • VM: CentOS 7

  • Network mode: Bridge

  • VPN: connection established from my local host Windows machine

My command (ran on both windows host and CentOS VM):

  • git clone git@remoteip.project.git

Result:
This command succeeds on Windows but fails on CentOS VM

Message: connect to host port 22: Network is unreachable
Command ping remoteip fails as well on CentOS VM

Is it the problem of bridge? How do I make my VM share host's VPN as well?

I have tried to choose Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Virtual Mainport Adapter in bridged network settings for the VM. But it did not work out.

I would try this: VM share host's VPN connection

But I do not know how to do: in NAT settings, set gateway IP to host's VPN IP.
It seems I do not have these options in VM configuration.

Thank you!
