What's the best way to (offline) archive WhatsApp chats and media on a PC? [closed]

Are there applications available or workarounds that you know of, which would allow such an offline archive that is essentially searchable/browseable? The idea is to have the following:

  1. Free up phone storage space

  2. Maintain records of old chats & media without bloating the WhatsApp
    DB on the phone

  3. Allow convenient browsing and searching of the archive

Ideal interface could be something like the WhatsApp web interface, but an offline version that doesn't mind taking up space on a HDD!

PS: Further to this, is there anything like this for archiving one's Facebook and Twitter accounts?
