I tried to install on a USB Ubuntu 18.10 (I did it, or I think so, it doesn't matter now) but it somehow it edit something on my EFI partition.

It shows me a minimal bash:
I did:

grub> ls /efi/
./ ../ ubuntu/ boot/ neon/ # neon is the ubuntu what I use,
# ubuntu may be the one that I tried to
# install on the usb

So I could boot my Linux with this (not boot to the menu grub)
First a cat:

grub> cat /efi/neon/grub.cfg
search.fs_uuid <a large UID I won't copy> root hd0,gpt2
set prefix=($root)'/grub'
configfile $prefix/grub.cfg

grub> configfile /efi/neon/grub.cfg # and it boots to my neon ubuntu

I feel I'm loosing something and I'm very close to solve it.
I would not like to use Boot Repair, I would prefer to do it manually.
