I am on garageband trying to practice a song. While the song was playing and I was practicing on the guitar, I see on the top right corner of the screen, a notification… or notifications. It says "Now playing [song]" (or something like that). But it wasn't just one song, no. It was several songs skipping like I had my finger on the ">>" key. I get annoyed but all I can do it command-tab and close the iTunes app. I set my guitar back up and play the song and play along. A few seconds later, I see it again. I was already interrupted once so I just powered through. After I was done, I went and command-tabbed and closed iTunes again. Fortunately, it doesn't happen again… for now. This wasn't the first time this has happened. This has happened for days in a row. Frequent too. It's happened today before I went on garageband to practice, and it could very well happen later today (unless, of course, someone gives a solution to fix this). I never even use iTunes. I tried simply deleting iTunes, but my computer doesn't allow that. Is there anything I can do?

  • Got a bluetooth headset or keyboard connected?

  • Nope, I'm using a plugged in headphone and I'm using the laptop keyboard. Plus, the headphones aren't the ones where you can skip songs with it (with those buttons on the wire). Plus, it doesn't stop when I take my headphones out

  • Try changing where ITunes stores files to a new, empty, folder. support.apple.com/guide/itunes/…
