Gitlab artifacts and untracked
What is the use of artifacts:untracked
in the artifacts
?
I see that untracked files e.g. binaries are part of the artifacts without setting untracked: true
.
So what is the use of it?
gitlab gitlab-ci gitlab-ci-runner artifacts

Because (from the doc) you can define the exact paths you want to consider when sending untracked files as your artifact:
artifacts:
untracked: true
paths:
- binaries/
But the untracked files are the in thebinaries/
regardless of theuntracked
being set totrue
. I still don't get it

@Jim But do you get other folders as well. The way I understand it, that would allow to limit what untracked files you want.
