Websocket installation on IIS10, Windows 10 pro
I want to play around with websockets. I'm using IIS 10 on Windows 10 pro. I have used the Web Platform installer 5.0 to install "Websockets Protocol". This seems to look fine, it says "Installed".
If I try to make a websocket connection with javascript usign jQuery (script is a downloaded test sample):
new WebSocket("ws://localhost/simple-php-chat-using-websocket/php-socket.php");
it returns this error
can’t establish a connection to the server at ws://localhost/simple-php-chat-using-websocket/php-socket.php
I try to connect via port 80.
Is there something more I need to install?
Is there a other way to check if the websocket is working correctly?
