Mapping a Dest Property with Children Source using AutoMapper

0

I'm trying to make a better solution to map my object GetProductsServiceReturn that have a property Data inherits of ServiceReturn List implementation, but i am using the ConstructUsing() of automapper with an iteration.

Maybe have a better solution, anybody could help me?

public abstract class ServiceReturn : IServiceReturn
{
...
}

public abstract class ServiceReturn<TData> : ServiceReturn
{
public TData Data { get; set; }

public ServiceReturn(
TData data) :
base(true, null)
{
Data = data;
}
}

public class GetProductsServiceReturn : ServiceReturn<IList<Product>>
{
public GetProductsServiceReturn(IList<Product> data) : base(data) { }
}

public class ProductViewModel
{
....
}

CreateMap<GetProductsServiceReturn, List<ProductViewModel>>()
.ConvertUsing(m => new List<ProductViewModel>(m.Data.Map<List<ProductViewModel>>()));

    If your list is a member of another type, you can try a map to the containing type. Otherwise you can add a map from Product to ProductViewModel and map the list directly.
