What's the best way to (offline) archive WhatsApp chats and media on a PC? [closed]

Are there applications available or workarounds that you know of, which would allow such an offline archive that is essentially searchable/browseable? The idea is to have the following:
- Free up phone storage space
- Maintain records of old chats & media without bloating the WhatsApp
DB on the phone - Allow convenient browsing and searching of the archive
Ideal interface could be something like the WhatsApp web interface, but an offline version that doesn't mind taking up space on a HDD!
PS: Further to this, is there anything like this for archiving one's Facebook and Twitter accounts?
