Prevent removal of “obsolete” .lnk files

0

I'm using an encrypted drive on Windows 10 and have some applications on this drive pinned to the task bar. Especially after a Windows update (where the encrypted drive is not mounted yet) these task bar icons pointing to the encrypted drive get removed - maybe because Windows "thinks" they are obsolete.

How to prevent this cleanup of obsolete links?
