error while loading shared libraries: libjson-c.so.2 On ububtu 18.04

0

I am trying to run a custom binary on ubuntu 18.04.

But it keeps giving me the error...

atp@atp:~$ G_station
G_station: error while loading shared libraries: libjson-c.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have done a ldd G_station and it revealed to have a missing link for the below file.

libjson-c.so.2 => not found

I have downloaded the package for libjson0 "libjson0-dev_0.11-4_amd64.deb"
but the installation fails as well as ...

atp@atp:~/Downloads$ sudo dpkg -i /home/atp/Downloads/libjson0-dev_0.11-4_amd64.deb
[sudo] password for atp:
Selecting previously unselected package libjson0-dev:amd64.

Preparing to unpack .../libjson0-dev_0.11-4_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking libjson0-dev:amd64 (0.11-4) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libjson0-dev:amd64:
libjson0-dev:amd64 depends on libjson-c-dev (= 0.11-4); however:
Version of libjson-c-dev:amd64 on system is 0.12.1-1.3.
libjson0-dev:amd64 depends on libjson0 (= 0.11-4); however:
Package libjson0 is not installed.

dpkg: error processing package libjson0-dev:amd64 (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
libjson0-dev:amd64
atp@atp:~/Downloads$

The binary was previously compiled on a ubuntu14.04 system where the ldd G_station shows...

libjson-c.so.2 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjson-c.so.2 (0x00007fce23ed3000)

Any ideas how I can get the above missing package fixed.
