Create bootable SD card for buildroot

0

I tried to generate boot images of buildroot for risc-v processor according to this 1

I could generate the rootfs files for 64 bit architecture.I need how to use this images to boot the linux kernel for my processor SoC.I have rootfs and rootfs.ext2 files.

further more I tried to compile buildroot for 32-bit architecture by following this2
.Here also I could generate the rootfs file.
I need to boot my processor SoC using a SD card.Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

  • "I tried to compile buildroot ..." -- Buildroot is a tool for building a kernel, bootloaders, and executables for a rootfs. You don't compile Buildroot itself. "I could generate the rootfs file." -- The rootfs is not a file. It's a filesystem, which would (in your case) reside in a partition on the SDcard. You need to know the layout of the SDcard that your SoC requires. Then you could (a) use something like genimage to build an image of the SDcard, or (b) build the SDcard manually using parted (or gparted), dd, mount, and tar.
