Having an issue with getting my Linux IP on VirtualBox
On my VirtualBox Debian VM even though I have my network set as "Bridged Adapter" when I type ifconfig
in the terminal it says my IP is 127.0.0.1, any solutions?

Do you have the correct NIC selected for Bridged mode? If you have more than one NIC, you could be connected to the wrong/disconnected one. You could also try NAT as that needs no additional configuration.

127.0.0.1 is on every correctly set up machine on the Internet (and means "this machine". You can ignore it. Type dmesg | less and look through to see if your system has an ethernet interface and what it is. If you have virtualised a real pc the interface name may.not be the default because the mac address may have changed.
