android GlobalBus.getBus().isRegistered(this) not working

0

I have used EventBus in the project. I have a navigation drawer from which I am navigatinng through fragments. What I am facing is I am trying to register EventBus in onCreateView() of the fragment using GlobalBus.getBus().register(this)

Then I open drawer and open second fragment. Then again when I open drawer and re-open the first fragment, onCreateView() called and GlobalBus.getBus().register(this) again called. which register EventBus again (twice,thrice and on)

So to not to register again, I did

if (!GlobalBus.getBus().isRegistered(this))
GlobalBus.getBus().register(this)

But it always returns false.

I have unregister EventBus from

override fun onDestroyView() {
GlobalBus.getBus().unregister(this)
}

Can anyone tell me why

if (!GlobalBus.getBus().isRegistered(this))
GlobalBus.getBus().register(this)

not working? And how could I register only single time for any fragment so that subscriber method won't call multiple times?
