Can someone help me find a adjective for my character description? [on hold]
I have been research for a couple of days and still could find a right adjective to describe the main character of my story.
My main character is a high school girl whose mother passed away a few years ago. Afterwards, in front of people, she’s like a lovely, happy, and optimistic girl. But when she’s alone, she often cries badly. I’m looking for a word or two words(?) to describe that she hides her sadness and pretend she’s okay, which she couldn’t stop grieving from her mother’s death.
I’m thinking ‘emotionally sealed’. But seems like it’s not a real word.
Can someone help me out? Thank you so much!

Yea, emotionally sealed doesn't sound right there. You could say "she puts on a mask in front of people to hide the turmoil she feels inside...". I don't know if there is an adjective for that description you want though, sorry.
