Chrome changes keyboard shortcuts based on keyboard language

0

I'm using Chrome in my MacBook Pro (macOS 10.14.2). I have 2 input sources set up on my Mac, Arabic and English.

For some reason, recently my Chrome decided to reverse the "next/previous tab" keyboard shortcut when I switch from English to Arabic. In English, the shortcut ++] goes to the tab to the right of the current one, while ++[ goes to the left. In Arabic, this is reversed.

This didn't use to happen, and as far as I can tell, Chrome didn't update in the last couple of days. This behavior doesn't happen in, for example, FireFox, which shares the shortcut.

What is causing it? And can I reverse it?
