Why close a post that brought me here?

"Hundred-thousands" or "Hundreds of thousands"?
Why was this post closed? It helped me a lot in understanding this and other related english grammar related problems.
And helping eachother, isnt that a big part of what internet is all about?
As I am from Norway, English is my second language, and I like to be proper about it.
Please correct me if I make a 'typo'. But please don't shut me down!
Like you did with this poor fella...

"This post has been locked while disputes about its content are being resolved."
Seriously? Are there really people on this troubled planet who has time to dispute about something like this?
That is the most unintelligent sentence I have heard in a long time, if ever.
Peace out bro's and sisters. We are together on this planet, and language is not the most important thing to worry about. Although I came here googling "Hundred-thousands" or "Hundreds of thousands"? And you were #2 on google. So this guy or girl have done you a great favour (favour, favor) with the post you closed and dispute about, what a childish response. I'm gone.

The question was locked because its owner vandalized it twice (revisions 3 and 6 here), so the locking was done to keep the content on the site. I can't tell you why the lock wasn't removed; diamond moderators are able to have locks expire after some time but that wasn't done here apparently. (See here for more info on locks.)

So apart from complaining about a three-year-old question being locked for editing (without bothering to find out why or what it means), you primarily came here to tell us that you’re leaving – and proceeded to do so in the wrong place. Somehow, I find the accusation of childishness rather ironic here. I’m not even sure what to vote to close this for, because it fits almost every close-voting reason we have.
