How to recover ppt file that is replaced by a blank ppt?

0

System: MacOX
I had a ppt file with content inside. When I amended a bit and save as a new file with the same location and file name as the previous one, the system asked me whether to replace the older version. I clicked "replace" but when I reopen it, the ppt turns out to be a blank ppt with nothing in it. I didn't open time machine beforehand so the time machine doesn't work in this case. I've also tried to trace the inbuilt library (the finder go one) and several recovery softwares but I found nothing. Is it possible for me to recover the ppt file? If so, what can I do?
