Changing network settings via netsh as non-admin domain user

After some research, I had managed to allow non-admin domain users to change their network settings (IP/gateway/DNS) on a network computer, via GPO Restricted Group
method.
However, the network computers can be physically configured (or set up) in multiple ways, such that they have to change their network configuration in order to reach the domain controller. I am expecting my domain user to be relatively less tech-savvy, so asking them to manually change the IP/gateway/DNS via Network Connection
is not feasible.
However, I realized that using a batch file that runs netsh
commands do not seem to work. It seems that the access right to change via Network Connection
is different from the access right to change setting via netsh
.
Is there any workaround for this?
windows network-adapter group-policy netsh
