How to grammatically structure sentence
How does one write this correctly? I’m not sure if this should be in two separate sentences or maybe three. Are there really any guidelines on how to write something that we would normally express verbally? It often seems like speech and writing are two different beasts.
I just know it sucks, but hey. At least I’m still here.

You need to explain what your problem is. What you have written is a combination slang (“it sucks”, which is probably a kind of impersonal verb) and idiom (“I’m still here”). But without the context (the full passage that prompts the comment, or at least a summary of it) the only thing I could suggest with any confidence is to change the punctuation. “I just know it sucks, but hey, I’m still here.”. More than that I cannot offer without the context.
