handling null response in yajrabox data tables laravel

0

im using yajrabox datatables for laravel and I got response from server with ajax.

The question is how to print a default value when a record is null in our database and it is join column (creator_id column in table)

now when database record is null, it returns error in alert that it said [Undefined index]

my Jquery code is

<script>
$(function() {
$('#users-table').DataTable({
processing: true,
serverSide: true,
oLanguage: {
sProcessing: "<img width='300px' src='{{asset('123.gif')}}'>"
},
ajax: '{!! route('show_product_type_list.data') !!}',
columns: [
{ data: 'creator.fullname',
name: 'creator.fullname',
defaultContent: "",
orderable: true
},
{
data: 'type_name',
name: 'type_name'
},
@can('product-type-detail')
{
data: function($type) {
return '<a href="/admin/product/type/detail/' + $type['id'] + '"
class="btn btn-primary btn-icon-anim btn-square">
<i class="fas fa-eye"></i>
</a>
</a>' },
name: 'view', sortable: false },
@endcan
]
});
});
</script>

if i set defaultContent: "" and sortable: false code has not error but sorting has been disabled
