Looking for a website where I can compare two IPA of words, one next to the other
It would be even better if it displays British and American pronunciation.

I don't understand what you want. Do you want a dictionary that gives IPA for both British and American pronunciations, like this one? Or do you want a website that will show you the IPA for words you type in, like this one?

The second website I give above, if you type in "wet whet", will output "wɛt wɛt". This sounds like exactly what you're looking for. (Except it doesn't give you the British and American IPAs side by side. For that you might have to use a dictionary.)

Now I've got it, perfect, thank you.

Off-topic - should it have been "I can compare two IPAs of words..." Instead of "..IPA of words..."?

The official website is https://www.internationalphoneticassociation.org/
A great website with charts and sounds and stuff is http://www.internationalphoneticalphabet.org/
Another okayish website that has some nice IPA charts with sounds is http://www.yorku.ca/earmstro/ipa/ however, it uses flash with will be disappearing soon, so it won't work on any modern browsers by the end of 2020.
Here's another one that I just found: http://www.ipachart.com/
You could also search for IPA charts with sounds if you're interested in any more links.
Thanks a lot, Elliot, but I'm not sure that you got me. I'm looking for a website where I can compare two IPA of two words, one by the other. on the same page.

Ah, I see. The second link I gave you has one that currently is not working. It says that a new version is currently being developed.
