I have installed MapServer and Apache2 as per instruction. Installation of MapServer was successful. Apache2 is up and running at 80. MapServer is set to listen to port 8085.

MapServer uses its own Apache instance to run. So, when I try to start the MapServer I get this error:

root@myPC:/opt/fgs# . setenv.sh
* FGS runtime ready in '/opt/fgs', use fgs command.

root@myPC:/opt/fgs# fgs start

+ Starting 'apache':
/opt/fgs/www/bin/httpd: 1: /opt/fgs/www/bin/httpd: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

Any ideas what is wrong or where to look for?

My wild guess is that it has to do with my apache configuration. I used the default conf file. Here it is.

Or the fgs script itself. Here it is.
