I'm having 2 different xml files -
File1.xml :

<Books>
<SubT>
<Aut>XYZ</Aut>
<Name>Local</Name>
</SubT>
<SubT>
<Aut>XYZ</Aut>
<Name>Local</Name>
</SubT>
</Books>

And File2.xml :

<Books>
<Alt>
<TimeStamp>Test</TimeStamp>
<TimeZone2>Global</TimeZone2>
</Alt>
</Books>

Now I want to create a single XML file Final.xml which will look like -

<Books>
<Alt>
<TimeStamp>Test</TimeStamp>
<TimeZone2>Global</TimeZone2>
</Alt>
<SubT>
<Aut>XYZ</Aut>
<Name>Local</Name>
</SubT>
<SubT>
<Aut>XYZ</Aut>
<Name>Local</Name>
</SubT>
</Books>

I'm able to generate the desired output XML if my File2.xml looks like

<Alt>
<TimeStamp>Test</TimeStamp>
<TimeZone2>Global</TimeZone2>
</Alt>

Below is my code :

import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET

base_tree = ET.parse('D:/File1.xml')
new_tree = ET.parse('D:/File2.xml')

rootBase = base_tree.getroot()

c = rootBase
new_condition = new_tree.getroot()
c.append(new_condition)

tree = str(ET.tostring(base_tree.getroot()), 'utf-8')
print(tree)
