What does the word execute mean?
I think the meaning of execute a computer program is to run or perform a computer program? I tried going on google and found the definition of execute which is run. I checked on the English dictionary and the definition of execute is to perform something. Can someone please tell me what the definition of execute is? Tell me which English dictionary you used to find the definition of execute?

"Tell me which English dictionary you used to find the definition of execute?" You should really do this. Execute can mean many things, including putting something into action, running a computer program or killing someone. Say which dictionary you used and make sure you go through all the definitions.

The name of the dictionary I used is in google and it is called dictionary.com.

OK, so you see in that dictionary entry, after 4, there's a button named "see more". Click it, and it'll show more definitions. You'll see "8. Computers . to run (a program or routine) or to carry out (an instruction in a program). "

Execute a computer program means to run a computer program and to run a computer program means to execute a computer program. That is confusing for me. Is there another definition that I can use for the word execute. If there is can you tell me?

Allan, the problem here doesn't seem to be with the meaning of the word, since your question and comments indicate that you know that "execute" in this context means run. It seems likely therefore that the issue is your unfamiliarity with English. I'm therefore flagging this question as off-topic ("belongs on English Language Learners".
