Scroll expansion panel into view when Angular Material Accordian clicked

0

Simple accordian with expansion panels:

<mat-accordian>
<mat-expansion-panel
*ngFor="let item of items; index as index"
[expanded]="index === selectedIndex"
(opened)="panelOpened(index)">
...
<ng-template matExpansionPanelContent>
</mat-expansion-panel>
</mat-accordian>

public panelOpened(index: number): void {
this.selectedIndex = index;
}

This works, I can do stuff when a panel is clicked.

However as per docs, the component does not handle scrolling so I am unsure how to scroll the panel into view when there are too many, upon clicking any individual panel? I can't see any way to get the specific dom element in the panelOpened function?
