Accessing old EOL Cisco Gear & Java Security

0

I am currently trying to access some EOL Cisco equipment (CISCO ASA 5500). Unfortunately, Java security is not cooperating: neither traditional java client ASDM app nor the web-based app will load. In both cases, I am being blocked by Java security in spite of having the IP address of the CISCO ASA 5500 as both an exception in Java security and part of the "Trusted Sites" group in Internet Options.

Ideally, I want to completely turn off Java security temporarily so I can access to the CISCO ASA 5500. Ironically, I am trying to replace this piece of EOL hardware, and the security implemented by Java/Oracle is making my corporate network less secure because I can't access the ASA settings so I can copy them over to a newer, non-EOL device.

Please see the attached error message for more information.
