html pahe Image opens insted of download
I'm trying to make image download when user clicks on it, but instead of downloading it opens up the image, here is the HTML code:
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<a download="logo.png" href="http://www.google.com/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_120x44dp.png" title="Logo title">
<img alt="logo" src="http://www.google.com/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_120x44dp.png">
</a>
</body>
</html>
Note: Images are downloadable if i make them store in my server and pass the path as shown below:
<a download="logo.png" href="googlelogo_color_120x44dp.png" title="Logo title">
<img alt="logo" src="googlelogo_color_120x44dp.png">
Is there a way i can make images downloadable without storing them to my server?
Things i have tried:
tried to make image format downloadable using .htaccess but no help!
< FilesMatch ".(?i:jpg|gif|png)$">
Header set Content-Disposition attachment
